Stormwater management is an SCS specialty. As one of our featured services, it’s an important consideration for municipalities, port facilities, industrial facilities, landfill owners, real estate developers, construction activities disturbing 1 acre or more, and vineyard owners to name just a few of the clients we typically help with storm water issues.

For example, SCS Engineers designs and helps implement simple, effective approaches to control erosion, sediment, and contaminant runoff related to both established facilities and new construction projects. We provide floodplain and flood management assistance, including strategies that provide both a "quick fix" and longer-term solution to minimize damage caused by recurring storm events.
 

We also sample and analyze storm water discharges to confirm compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. We develop storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) and stormwater management plans (SWMP) to address standard urban stormwater mitigation plans (SUSMP) requirements. In addition, we provide routine audits to evaluate compliance with facility SWPPPs.
